CoLRiC is pleased to announce its 25th anniversary conference ‘The Road Travelled: Surviving and Flourishing 25 years on’ will be held at University College Birmingham on Friday 22nd June 2018.
Conference topics:
The keynote speaker is Nick Poole, CEO of CILIP. The day will also feature awards ceremonies, presentations and breakout sessions/workshops on a range of topics including:
· Supporting literacy in a library context
· Supporting numeracy in a library context
· The Trailblazer Project – a new framework and associated qualification aimed at para-professionals
· CILIP Information Literacy Group’s new definition for Information Literacy
· Jisc – an update on the Staff Digital Capability pilot
· The transition from further education to higher education
· The importance of learning resource centres and library services in further education
The day will conclude with a drinks and canapés reception giving you the opportunity to network with colleagues from across country.

The Council for Learning Resources in Colleges (CoLRiC) is an independent organisation working with library and learning resources centre managers in further education, sixth form colleges and the HE in FE sector to enhance and maintain excellence in their services. The day will be of interest not only to CoLRiC members, but all library and information professionals with a commitment to high quality learning resources and a professional development requirement to keep up to date with trends and developments impacting on the education sector.
