At the SEMANTiCS conference in Karlsruhe from 9 to 12 September, representatives from industry and science will discuss the use of semantic technologies and artificial intelligence.
SEMANTiCS is one of the leading conferences in the field of semantic technologies and artificial intelligence. FIZ Karlsruhe, together with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), has succeeded in bringing this renowned international event to Karlsruhe for its 15th anniversary. A good two years of intensive planning have gone into the program, the attractiveness of which is proven by the registrations of over 400 participants from science and industry from all over the world.
Research in industry and science is generating ever larger amounts of data faster and faster. Their sheer volume and, above all, their utilization and "enhancement" into information and knowledge require a sustainable information infrastructure. In this context, FIZ Karlsruhe offers open and legally compliant platforms, software and services. In addition, it participates in the establishment of a basic service for research with methods and services for research data management - the National Research Data Infrastructure (Nationale Forschungsdateninfrastruktur - NFDI).

On the main conference days, FIZ Karlsruhe will present selected research topics and information services at its information stand in the “Gartenhalle” of Kongresszentrum Karlsruhe. The first workshop on the application of patent text mining and semantic technologies (PatentSemTech) will take place at the Leibniz Institute's own location.
