Bringing together a varied range of speakers exploring the latest issues facing library and information professionals, the 2015 CILIP Multimedia and Technology Group (MMIT) AGM and seminar is all set for 6 January 2015. All are welcome to attend, whether or not MMIT Group members.
Lauren Smith will be explaining how she uses social media for change and will no doubt be drawing on her experience as PhD researcher at the University of Strathclyde.
Tackling digital tools and technologies will be Sierra Williams. Her talk will explore how digital and technologies are increasing the visibility of academic research and scholarship, and how bottom-up models of research communication can be encouraged.
Andy Tattersall's session will cover altmetrics, and the role of information professionals in discovering, reviewing and engaging with these forces of change.
This is a free session which starts with a buffet lunch at 1230 followed by the MMIT Group AGM, then the seminar.
