PubHive Integrates Unpaywall Into PubHive Navigator
Cloud software platform PubHive Navigator saves time for life science teams by expanding journal article access via the platform’s research literature workflow module Fetch
London, UK (
)
PubHive Ltd., a cloud-based software company, today announced that the integration of the Open Access (OA) database Unpaywall into the PubHive Navigator workflow automation platform. The integration expands full-text access to scholarly peer-reviewed research papers for PubHive Navigator users by streamlining their access to the majority of the 32 million articles that Unpaywall makes available from more than 50,000 publishers and repositories.
“PubHive has integrated Unpaywall into all three PubHive Navigator platform modules and we are particularly excited about the time-saving benefits that the workflow integration delivers to life science researchers that use our Fetch module,” said Raj Vaghela, President and CEO at PubHive Ltd. “Unlike most aggregation tools in the STM industry that are limited in scope and designed to accommodate singular use cases, PubHive Navigator is a true platform that delivers unrivaled value through its ability to connect its own software with external teams, processes, data, as well as tools like Unpaywall.”
PubHive Navigator is a cloud-based scientific workflow automation platform that is available to corporate life science customers via an annual recurring software subscription license. The platform features three modules: Pulse for drug safety and pharmacovigilance (PV) teams that need to minimize risk and improve efficiency related to PV literature surveillance and searching, aggregate reporting and medical writing, and safety signaling; Quest for teams in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and regulatory MedTech that need better data science-driven methods for performing systematic literature reviews; and Fetch for R&D and Medical Affairs teams with siloed literature workflows that are inefficient and inconvenient.
Unpaywall is an increasingly valuable tool for researchers worldwide as the Open Access market share increases, fueled by research funder mandates and transformative read-and-publish deals. According to recent reports from the STM association and the Publishers Association, one-third of all global research articles are now published Open Access with some countries (such as the UK) on track to publish up to 90% of researchers’ output as OA in the coming year.
