International scholarly publisher Brill expands its portfolio in the Social Sciences by adding two new interdisciplinary book series to the program: Critical Emotion Studies (CRES) and Theory Workshop - New Frontiers in Social and Political Theory (WSPT).
Critical Emotion Studies is a peer-reviewed, transdisciplinary series of monographs and edited volumes dedicated to the critical analysis of emotions, meaning that emotions are theorized as contextual, relational, and shifting. The series aims to promote research on issues that are connected to understanding emotions as socially constructed, tied to culture and history, expressed through language and deeply enmeshed in power relations. For more information and manuscript proposals visit brill.com/cres.
The Theory Workshop: New Frontiers in Social and Political Theory book series aims to publish work that interweaves social and political theory. The board welcomes studies that explore new approaches and novel cross-fertilizations between historical understanding and critical engagement with the present, between genealogy and ideological-critique, and between Anglo-American and Continental thought (and between these and thought in the Global South), in the examination of enduring questions and emergent topics. For more information and manuscript proposals visit brill.com/wspt.
For more information on these two new book series, contact Jason Prevost, Acquisitions Editor at Brill, at prevost@brill.com.
