The predilection of having a bookcase behind Zoom presenters has led to a cottage industry of deciphering clues hidden in the books on the shelves. Hammonds Furniture has taken this to the next level. As revealed by Chloe Morgan on 13 February 2021 in the Mail Online, Hammonds has created drawings of imaginary bookcases of fictional characters and is asking readers to guess the owners of the six bookcases. Clues include not only the books, but also ornaments and everyday items. They claim it takes the average person only 68 seconds to guess all of them correctly.
