YouTube to offer video rental in UK

YouTube is rolling out its video rental service, previously available in the US and Canada, to the UK. 

The company has entered into a partnership with a number of film studios which means that UK users can rent videos directly from YouTube.  The service offers 48 hour rentals as well as providing some films which may be viewed free of charge.

The announcement was made on the YouTube blog.
