Wellcome Trust announces eLife

Further details have emerged about the Wellcome Trust's plans to improve open access to research it has funded.  Researchers who fail to make their results 'open' within six months could well be sanctioned when it comes to applications for future funding.

The Wellcome Trust will be working with the Max Planck Society in Germany and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in the US to set up the new journal.
