UK: Targeting domain sellers

The City of London Police’s Intellectual Property Crime Unit (PIPCU) has sent ‘notices of criminality’ to domain name registrars of websites who are illegally sharing copyrighted material.

If the providers do not suspend these domains they could face charges of knowingly facilitating criminal activity if criminal charges are made bought for piracy.
