Twitter: increase in data requests

Twitter’s latest transparency report (covering the first half of 2015) shows that the company saw a 52% increase in account information requests made by governments.  The US made the most information requests, accounting for 56% of the total requests received by Twitter.  Japan, Turkey and the UK are also top requesters for account information.

When it comes to governments requesting that information be removed, Turkey and Russia lead the way.
