The vanishing of Vine

Although users will still be able to access existing Vine content, no new Vines will be uploaded.

Vine has faced competition from Snapchat and Instagram but there are bigger issues at play.  Twitter has still not made a profit and user growth is slowing down.

Twitter seems to be repositioning itself as a source for live news – ‘the people’s news network’.
