The scholarly communications landscape
The drivers that have influenced the scholarly communication marketplace over the last few years (decreased library budgets; OA; alternative distribution methods etc) continue to be relevant but have been joined by organised piracy. However, the fundamental business models of publishers have not changed – and libraries will once again be facing above inflation increases in journal pricing.
