In a survey of over 1000 young people in Sweden, over 1 in three aged 10-16 claimed they have been victims of online bullying. The figure increased to 54% for girls aged 13-16 who were victimised over their appearance.
Abuse was most likely to take place on Facebook or on chat applications. Most victims knew the identity of those behind the abuse.
