The public offering was postponed just before trading in shares was scheduled to start. However, the company stated it may revisit its flotation plan at a future date.
"Springer Nature and its shareholders will continue to closely evaluate the market environment in general and opportunities regarding an IPO of Springer Nature in the future," a statement from the company said.
According to Reuters, investors have become cautious following the poor performance of other recent European IPOs.
