Broadcasters, programme makers and advertisers are keen to strengthen engagement with audiences and the measurement of social TV is becoming increasingly important.
Twitter has announced that it is expanding its partnership with Kantar to develop tools and standards for Twitter TV measurement. The new agreement means that the service will expand beyond the UK and Spain to Russia, the Nordics and parts of Asia and Africa. Twitter wants to be the second screen for TV viewers around the world.
In addition, Twitter has acquired two European social TV companies – the UK’s SecondSync and France’s Mesagraph.
