Its data and analytics services will become LSEG Data & Analytics and the customer and third-party risk services will become LSEG Risk Intelligence later in the year. LSEG noted that the retirement of the Refinitive brand will roll out in the coming months as the change is reflected across product interfaces, website, marketing material and social media channels.
Customers were assured that:
Access to products and services will not change.
Legal entities will not change.
Customer contracts will not change.
Account contacts and customer service numbers in LSEG will remain the same.
Emails you receive will be from the @lseg.com domain, but old email addresses will continue to work, and messages will be redirected.
Invoice branding will be updated but payment details will remain the same.
Technical changes, for example executable names, will be made with nine months’ notice.
Although the aim is to make obvious the various products owned by LSEG, it certainly makes LSEG Workspace less pronounceable than Refinitiv Workspace. No mention of renaming Mergent, which is part of FTSE Russell.
As part of the re-branding, LSEG will have six sub-brands:
- LSEG Data & Analytics
- LSEG Risk Intelligence
- FTSE Russell
- London Stock Exchange
- LSEG FX
- LSEG Post Trade
