Poland: new media laws bring resignations

Poland’s parliament has approved a bill which transfers the appointment of heads of public broadcasters over to the government.  The move has caused concern at the EU, Reporters Without Borders and elsewhere.

Four of Poland’s public broadcaster (TVP) most senior managers have resigned ahead of their likely dismissal.
