The Royal Society, which publishes high quality, peer-reviewed journals, has joined up with figshare to create a portal that aggregates its research outputs. The portal is designed to increase the discoverability of its research data.
The Royal Society requires all authors publishing in its journals to share data and research material. Until now this has been done via subject data repositories. The new portal will ensure the datasets will be publicly available, searchable and citable in a single location.
