LinkedIn to allow native video upload via app

New functionality being tested in the US before rolling out worldwide.


The feature will automatically play videos – with the sound off – when they appear in a user’s feeds.  Videos can be up to 10 minutes long. 

LinkedIn will share viewing figures, but also more interestingly, it will provide additional information about a selection of video viewers – including companies and job titles. 

Users will be able to switch off the video-playing function in their account settings.
