Italy: data watchdog challenges Google

Italy’s Data Protection Authority has demanded that Google change the way it stores and handles personal data.

The Authority says Google should seek prior consent to use personal data which is used for profiling and commercial purposes. It also wants Google to speed up the time it takes to remove data after receiving requests to do so.
