CIPE, a consortium of 11 university libraries in Italy, has reached an agreement with OCLC to make its library records available via WorldCat.
CIPE represents universities in northern and central Italy (including Bologna, Florence, Parma, Pisa and Venice) and aims to improve cooperation and research and to improve library innovation and economies of scale.
As academic research activity is becoming increasingly international, the agreement will increase the visibility of the Italian collections and will quadruple the Italian-language content available on WorldCat.
