The Information Manager of the year award is given in recognition of an individual who has made a significant contribution to the discipline of knowledge and information management through their work and professionalism by meeting one or more of the following criteria:
- Demonstrating excellence in the use of knowledge and information management techniques in the workplace
- Raising awareness of the value and impact of knowledge and information management in the workplace and the wider library and information profession
- Making a major contribution to the theory and practice of knowledge and information management
The prize is awarded by two CILIP Special Interest Groups:
- the Knowledge and Information Management Group (K&IM)
- the UK e-information Group (UKeiG
Nominations should take the form of a short description of how the nominee has excelled, together with full contact details of both the nominee and the nominator.
