The Getty Research Institute has added over 77,000 high-resolution images to the Open Content Program. 72,000 of them are photographs of art works and architecture in Italy taken from the Foto Arte Minore of photographer and scholar Max Hutzel. He was capturing images in Italy over a period of 30 years.
The rest are images of tapestries dating between the late 15th and the late 18th century. In many cases the images are the only documentation of tapestries that have since been lost.
