Germany: broadband for all

The German government is about to invest hundreds of millions of Euros to deliver high speed broadband across the country by 2018.

According to a report in Die Welt, plans to achieve comprehensive, high speed connections will be announced by the government shortly.  In particular the government is seeking to improve speeds to rural communities. 

The German government is also planning to launch a 100 million Euro digital innovation fund in 2015.
