Springer has been digitising its historical publications and making them available to the scientific community through Springer Book Archives (SBA).
It launched its first 37,000 English language titles at the beginning of 2013. It has now added 28,000 Germany language titles to SBA and plans to have digitised and published 100,000 titles by the end of 2013. The books will be available to students, researchers and librarians free of any digital rights management.
