Facebook: news of a news app

Notify will feature news from Facebook's media partners (including Vogue and The Washington Post). Users will be informed when new partner content has been published and made available via the app.  The move forms part of Facebook’s plans to become a major source of news for mobile users.

In a separate announcement, Facebook has announced a new function, Music Stories, which will offer 30 snippets of music into users' feeds.
