The latest research from eMarketer predicts that Facebook will lose over 3% of US 12-17 year olds in 2017.
Meanwhile it predicts over 25% growth for Snapchat in the US (19% for users aged 18-24) in 2017. Snapchat’s share of the US social network market is predicted to rise to over 40%.
Younger users who remain on Facebook are logging in less frequently and spending less time there. They are, however, still engaging with (the Facebook-owned) Instagram.
