FOLIO – the Future of Libraries is Open – brings together libraries and those who provide library services. It aims to foster creative conversations, new collaborations and ideas about new technologies and services for libraries. Together the community will create a new library services platform.
FOLIO will provide a platform for collaboration and integration. The initial code will be released on GitHub in August 2016 and the community will develop apps needed to operate a library.
The primary funding is being provided by EBSCO. Index Data is developing the initial platform.
