European research funding initiative

A partnership between the Wellcome Trust (UK), Germany’s Volkswagen Foundation and the Riksbankens Jubileumsfond of Sweden aims to support the Europe and Global Challenges funding initiative.

The funding is available to teams of researchers working collaboratively across borders to address global challenges such as food security. 

The Europe and Global Challenges initiative was established in 2009.  The deadline for draft applications for funding is January 2015.  For more information see the Volkswagen Foundation website.
