EC proposes cybersecurity legislation

If the proposed legislation is passed the EU's 27 member states will be required to set up local cybersecurity agencies.   

Technology firms with access to users' data will be required to report security breaches to the local cybersecurity agency. The legislation will affect e-commerce companies, online platforms and social networks.
