Denmark to appoint a digital ambassador

Denmark has become the first country to appoint a digital ambassador.  In an interview with Politiken, the country’s Foreign Minister said tech giants are so influential they are a ‘type of new nation’.  He quoted a Financial Times report showing the market values of Apple and Google are so large would place them just outside the world’s 20 largest economies (G20).

The role, which has yet to be filled, will work towards building strong relationships with the big tech companies.
