The Season of Sound is part of the British Library's Save our Sounds programme, which launched in 2016.
Save our Sounds is digitising at-risk and rare recordings and delivering online resources and a programme of activities that aim to connect people with their audio heritage. The Season of Sound programme explores and celebrates 140 years of recorded sound. Events include
- Late at the Library series featuring electronic pioneers the Radiophonic Workshop
- Friday night happy hour ‘sound experiences’
- An evening with naturalist David Attenborough and sound recordist Chris Watson
