BlackBerry services disrupted in Europe

BlackBerry users in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) experienced disruption to the service yesterday as a UK based server suffered an outage.

'BBM' and 'BlackBerry' rapidly became a Twitter trend as users shared their frustrations. 

Service was later resumed.  The BBC reported that RIM, which owns BlackBerry, stated that users might experience ongoing disruption as a longer-term solution was sought.
