BL's new document delivery agreement

Agreement reached with Elsevier and Taylor and Francis provides document delivery to non-commercial users outside the UK.

The British Library (BL) has reached agreements with the publishers Elsevier and Taylor and Francis to provide document delivery to non-commercial researchers outside the UK.

The framework licence provides for the supply of copies of articles from the British Library's Document Supply Service to non-commercial end users via not-for-profit libraries outside the UK.   The terms require not for profit libraries and end users to ensure that the difference between commercial and non-commercial article use is monitored.

The British Library will be looking to get existing STM content licensors to sign the framework licence agreement and will contact non-UK, non-commercial libraries to discuss eligibility for the service.
