KMWorld Europe to debut on 10 April as a virtual half-day conference

The new Bite-sized event features David Snowden as its keynote speaker.

Bite-sized KMWorld Europe will be held on 10 April 2024 via Zoom and features long-time KM advocate and creator of the Cynefin Framework, David Snowden, as its keynote speaker. His talk highlights the importance of human intelligence in a world suddenly obsessed with AI technologies.

The second session of Bite-sized KMWorld Europe looks at the tools and techniques important for knowledge managers to learn about. Three speakers, Chris Zielinski, University of Winchester, Dave Clarke, Synaptica, and Jakub Zavrel, Zeta Alpha, provide their perspectives and advice on the "responsibility gap", integrating traditional taxonomies and ontologies with Large Language Models, and multi-lingual perspectives. Zavrel even promises a "horror story" or two.

Last up for the day is the topic of the future of work. As generative AI technologies come to the forefront of our working lives, it is imperative to take steps to understand the impact of AI and to pivot towards utilising the technology to improve efficiency, innovation and growth. Presenters Victoria ward, Jigsaw Foresight, Gary Kass, University of Surrey, and Dion Hinchcliffe, Constellation Research, share their views and challenge assumptions about what our working future will be.

Bite-sized KMEurope promises to be an exciting half day of thought-provoking ideas and practical guidance for the global KM audience.

The full programme is here  and tickets can be purchases here. Can't make it on the 10th? No worries, the event will be recorded so you can view it later, at your convenience.
