Celebrate the final Bite-sized Taxonomy Boot Camp of the year on 9 October

Consider it a pumpkin spice addition to your day

The virtual Boot Camp starts out with Edee Edwards, Taxonomy & Ontology Manager, FM Global, sharing her experiences with taxonomies and ontologies she has loved and lost. Rather than talking only about successes, Edee also covers what happens when things do not go as planned.

Three speakers from the Publications Office of the European Union in Luxembourg, Lucy Walhain, Denis Dechandon, and Aniko Gerencser, take a in-depth look at how they leverage multilingual corporate reference data and AI to enhance their taxonomy management efforts.

Ahren Lehnert, Principal Taxonomist, Nike Inc. considers how to balance sustainable semantic practices with enterprise delivery, noting that businesses and data can have a surprisingly short lifecycle. Being prepared for change leads to sustainability.

Wrapping up, Michele Ann Jenkins, Dovecot Studio, explains how to make the most of SKOS relationships for mapping, and Heather Hedden, Enterprise Knowledge and author of The Accidental Taxonomist, gives her tips for taxonomy hierarchies of all varieties.

It will be a great half day of spicy presentations but the consumption of anything with pumpkin spice is completely up to you.
