UK: Librarian discovers rare medieval manuscript

The two rare pages are thought to be from a priest’s handbook that was one of the first books printed in England by William Caxton. It dates back to 1475-76.  The only other surviving fragment of the book is held at the British Library in London.

The previously undiscovered pages were part of a collection bought by the university in 1997.  They are said to be in good condition and are scheduled to go on display at Reading University’s Merl Museum.
